The Joint VPD System Elbow is a highly flexible 2ply elbow protector which conforms with international shock absorption standards. The elbow protector features a highly efficient ventilation system and an outer fabric which is made with high tenacity polyamide yarns for low friction and high abrasion resistance. VPD is the perfect material for mountain biking as it wraps around a riders body shape when warm which gives great freedom of movement on a bike. They use Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough that forms to your legs and is flexible when moving, that then turns rigid upon impact. It's so tough, the 3D molded VPD 2.0 complies with motorcycle standards. Kevlar reinforced stretch fabric and dual straps keep them locked down where they belong. The plastic knee cap adds an extra layer of protection and reduces friction with the ground when crashing. The extra length helps in the event of the dreaded slipped pedal strike.
